What does sustainability mean to you?

We see sustainability from two perspectives. One is how we buy materials, process them, ship products and how we run our company. So here everything counts for us what we "take" (from nature or from other people).

The second perspective focuses on everything we "give". Because you can personalize our gifts and with the quality that we strive for, we want to influence consumer behavior. We want you to have a few special things instead of buying something new every month. Our reusable makeup pads last forever. Should something go wrong with the jewelry you have purchased from us, we will be happy to repair it and hope to set an example for reduce - reuse - recycle.

Where do the raw materials for your products come from?

​

All of our processed raw materials such as yarn, freshwater pearls, wooden pearls, wax, plaster, ... are purchased by us, taking into account the country of origin, transport route and ethical factors, and processed by hand.

We rely on the support of small dealers, fair working conditions and local suppliers. Most of the materials are purchased in Europe, avoiding large online mail order companies.

Why are your products relatively inexpensive despite fair trade and sustainability?

​

We would also like to pass on the fairness that we expect from our suppliers to our customers. Just because something is currently in fashion does not justify us that it can cost more. The entire supply chain benefits from it if we offer fair prices and you might even buy a second piece for it. In addition, with this project we mainly want to collect donations and realize ourselves. For us, the focus is on bringing more love and positive energy into the world with Manuka Gifts.

At this point we would like to point out that there may be differences from product to product. This is due, on the one hand, to the fact that we work with natural materials and the shape and color are predetermined; on the other hand, we continuously incorporate your feedback and thus make changes to our articles and the materials used.

Do you also make custom-made products?

​

Always bring it on! We can't wait to hear your ideas and wishes. In terms of size, pattern / shape and composition, we are happy to implement personal requests. Your creativity knows no limits.

Can I order something for my girlfriend / mom / sister and have it delivered to her?

​

Yes absolutely! In our shop you order gifts, whether for yourself or your favorite person - we don't make a difference, we celebrate both! Your order always arrives at the address of your choice wrapped with love.

How long will my order take?

​

After we have received your payment, we will get to work straight away and manufacture your desired item especially for you. It will be delivered to the post office after a maximum of seven working days and will soon be in your hands. The exact shipping times of the Post are decided depending on the tariff you choose. You can see more information during the ordering process.

How do you pack?

​

We attach great importance to the fact that our packaging is plastic-free and climate-neutral. Because sustainability has priority here too! Our mailing bags are padded with paper and so are our paper-based adhesive tapes. The jewelery bags are sewn from scraps of fabric. No import, no extra consumption, just the best upcycling!

How can I pay?  

​

There are various ways to pay for your order: PayPal, credit card, Klarna or bank transfer. You will receive an invoice from us with the relevant information. You will give us the most pleasure if you choose the payment method "bank transfer", as this means that we receive the entire amount and we do not have to pay any intermediary financial service providers.

​

Can I return an item?

​

If an article does not meet your requirements, you are welcome to contact us within 7 days and we will look for a solution together. 
Please make sure, however, that some items are excluded from returns for hygienic reasons, as well as custom-made products and personalization. 
We ask for your understanding that we are currently unable to cover the costs for a return. Calculating these in the product price would unnecessarily drive up our prices.

PRODUCT INFORMATION & CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Candles:

Our vegan candles are 100% hand-poured from European raw materials. The topic is very extensive, but we are proud to have developed sustainable, CO-neutral and palm oil-free candles. We share all background information with you here.

Organic cotton:

You can wash your make-up pads and soap bags made of organic cotton at up to 60 degrees in the washing machine, giving them a really long life. It is normal to see use and the material becomes denser over time, the quality is not affected - quite the opposite. The more you use your organic cotton products, the softer they become.

​

Eco yarn:

Our macrame products are made from recycled yarn and without the addition of dyes, water or chemical products. The cotton cords are certified according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, which means they are biodegradable, environmentally and health-friendly; and therefore also baby-friendly.

​

Wood:

We use untreated wood, mostly maple or beech. The driftwood is collected by myself (in Corsica).  

​

Costume jewelry:

We expressly point out that the jewelry we produce is fashion jewelry. We attach great importance to the selection of materials and test everything ourselves in advance in order to satisfy you as much as possible.

Unfortunately, discoloration due to wear and tear cannot be avoided in costume jewelry.

The following tips will help you to give your jewelry a longer life:

​

• Correct storage: the bathroom is not suitable for storing your jewelry, as it is usually very humid due to a lot of water vapor. Certainly a dresser in the bedroom or the like will be happy to be the new home for your jewelry. It is best to make sure that there is no direct light exposure.

• Sweat, perfume, soap, deodorant, body oils, hairspray ... and water are often found in everyday life, but are unfortunately hostile to your jewelry. Please make sure that your costume jewelry does not come into direct contact with it, if possible.

• Regular care of your jewelry will extend its lifespan. The best way to clean your jewelry is to use a soft, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. This will help you keep your gold or silver jewelry shiny.

For our "The Yogi" collection we use stainless steel - a very durable and hard-wearing material. You can immerse it in water and it is not so prone to small scratches. Salt water and deodorants / perfumes with aggressive ingredients do not like this material very much either!

​

The advantage of stainless steel jewelry over costume jewelry and real jewelry is explained in a few sentences: jewelry made of stainless steel is very robust, rust and nickel free and skin-friendly. As a rule, it therefore does not trigger any allergic reactions. In addition, it almost never tarnishes and does not rub off.
